Zombie Homestead gameplay: a base with a workshop and a warehouse
Zombie A survivor running with a tower of supplies

How to play

All you do is walk.

No buttons to mash, nothing to aim. Walk close to pick things up, swing by a drop-off to unload, carry materials to a build site and it builds itself.

  1. The first screen: drag to move and collect scrap
    01

    Walk close, stack it up

Stand on a work pad at the scrapyard or the garden and resources appear. Walk past and they stack up on your back. Upgrade until you can carry 24 at once.

  2. A base lined with a workshop and a warehouse
    02

    Carry it, and it's built

Bring materials to a build site and construction runs by itself. Garden, workshop, canteen, lab… an empty house turns into a base you can count on.

  3. Turrets firing at zombies closing in on a barricade
    03

    Bring ammo, the turrets fire

You never shoot. Carry ammo to the turrets and wood to the barricades. Hauling is how you defend.

On your back right now

0 / 24

A turret shot hits a zombie and it vanishes in a puff of smoke

The twist

Guard it, or lose it.

Zombies walk in from the edge of the map, heading for your warehouse. Barricades stop them, turrets shoot them. Let both run dry and they'll walk off with your supplies. That's why you never stop hauling.

  1. 1

    Barricades hold them

Bring wood to repair them. They wear down but never disappear.

  2. 2

    Turrets take them out

Turn scrap into ammo at the workshop, then carry it over.

  3. 3

    Defend and you gain

Every zombie you repel drops scrap. The better you guard, the more you get.

Who's coming

  • STAGE 1+

    Walker

Slow and shambling. But there are a lot of them.

  • STAGE 2+

    Runner

Fast. Sometimes faster than your turrets.

  • STAGE 3+

    Tank

A tough one that tears through barricades.

  • STAGE 4+

    Horde

A wave of 16 that rolls in at night.

  • Now and then

    Lucky zombie

A golden jackpot. Repel it for a big drop of supplies.

Zombies are goofy, not gory, and vanish in a puff of smoke when repelled. Your buildings never get destroyed.

While you're away

Close the app. Your base keeps going.

While the app is closed, your survivors keep working and zombies keep coming. When you're back, one screen shows what happened. Restock the ammo, start one build, and close it again. A session takes 3–5 minutes.

You only lose what you gained while away.

No matter how long you leave it, your stock never drops below what you had when you closed the app. You'll never come back to zero, so you can close it without worrying.

Radio League Unlocks at Stage 3

Every week,
one night, same for everyone.

Fix the radio in the school's broadcast room and you're linked to survivors everywhere. Each week, everyone takes on the same Outpost Night. Build and defend for 5 minutes, and your score goes up against a league of 30.

  • 5 minutes a run

A bite-size tower defense: make ammo, load the turrets, pick a supply drop every few waves.

  • Same night, pure skill

Everyone plays the same conditions, so planning and quick calls make the difference.

  • Race a rival

The player one rank above you runs alongside as a ghost.
